About the Role
SSI SCHÄFER is seeking a Business Development Manager for Logistics Solutions to lead initiatives in generating and engaging business partners for intralogistics solutions.

Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within warehousing, logistics, e commerce, manufacturing, pharma, F&B, retail, and distribution sectors
- Promote and sell intralogistics solutions such as Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), Conveyor and sortation systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation software
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and contractors
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, solution development, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closing
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop tailored technical and commercial proposals
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customers’ needs to define sales strategies
- Participate in tenders and large scale project bids, ensuring alignment with client requirements
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to company growth strategy
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent degree
- 4 7 years' industry related (intralogistics automation, warehouse storage systems, material handling equipment) business development experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing complex deals
- Strong technical and commercial acumen
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with consultants and large scale projects is a plus
- Exposure to large scale warehouse automation projects (e commerce, FMCG, 3PL, retail) is a plus
- Strong knowledge in the UAE and GCC market, with preferred experience in the MEA market

Overview
- The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company, in our Solutions sales.
- This candidate must have a proven record of successful lead generation and high hit rates with a strong network in the UAE.
- He/she must possess the technical acumen to quickly understand our business solutions.
- He/she must have strong communication skills, presentation skills and good judgment.
- He/she should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.
