Business Development Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve new business objectives as established by the Regional Sales Manager;
• Develop strategy and complete call plans / reports to ensure that all prospects’ information and documentation are updated in SRS ( Strategic Relationship System );
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with prospective clients and brokers to successfully create continuous new business opportunities;
• Manage new business opportunities by continuously developing prospects;
• Maintain an active involvement in the local insurance and brokerage community by participating in meetings, conferences and industry-related functions;
• Maintain a thorough understanding of competitors’ products, services, current pricing strategy and practices.
• A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline;
• At least 10 years’ working experience in risk management, loss prevention engineering, claims or underwriting;
• Experience in the broader insurance industry is desired but not essential;
• Knowledge of sales processes (prospecting, nurturing, follow-up, follow-through, negotiating, closing) and proven sales experience is a plus;
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including facilitating and presentation;
• Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills;
• Technology and social media savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft office software
