The Position
The Business Development Executive will maintain and build existing client relationships within freight forwarding and logistics.
The role is described as a farmer role focused on developing existing accounts rather than cold hunting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, develop and report on pipelines.
- Prepare and present proposals and tenders.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements with service providers.
- Design and implement standard operating procedures.
- Travel interstate.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of freight-forwarding experience.
- Experience building and maintaining existing client relationships within freight forwarding.
- Evidence of strong negotiation skills.
- Proven sales success in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Corporate presentation and communication skills.
- Positive and determined attitude.
