Description
The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing strategic revenue opportunities with key suppliers and ecosystem partners. This role drives growth by expanding market presence, developing strategic supplier relationships, and aligning internal product, pricing, and operations teams to capture new semiconductor demand creation and long-term supply agreements.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in the semiconductor industry, strong executive-level customer engagement skills, and a track record of successfully converting market opportunities into revenue.
Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities with Tier 1 Supplier Partners
Develop multi-year growth strategies aligned with company product roadmaps.
Drive demand creation activity across target suppliers.
Lead negotiations for strategic supply agreements, partnerships, and long-term strategic supplier arrangements
Supplier & Market Engagement
Build and maintain executive relationships with key supplier decision makers.
Act as the primary commercial interface for strategic suppliers and growth initiatives.
Represent the company at industry events, supplier briefings, and strategic planning sessions.
Gather and communicate market intelligence, competitive insights, and supplier technology trends.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with product management, manufacturing, engineering, operations, and sales teams to align resources around strategic opportunities.
Influence product roadmaps based on market and customer requirements.
Coordinate internal stakeholders to support successful supplier engagements and program launches.
Revenue Growth & Pipeline Management
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Deliver accurate revenue forecasts and strategic supplier plans.
Track progress of opportunity funnel through CRM.
Achieve defined revenue and market share targets.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, engineering), MBA Preferred
10+ Years Leadership Experience and Business Development in the Semiconductor Industry
Deep understanding of the Semiconductor Industry: Markets, Supply Chain, Technology
Strong financial, analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly when interacting with senior executives.
