Role Description

  • The Business Continuity Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the bank’s business continuity and resilience framework to ensure critical operations can continue during disruptions.
  • Day to day tasks include conducting risk and impact assessments, updating business continuity plans, coordinating testing and simulation exercises, and monitoring the effectiveness of continuity controls.
  • The role will collaborate closely with operational, IT, and risk management teams to ensure alignment with enterprise risk management standards and regulatory requirements.
  • This is a part time hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on site work at the bank’s location and some work from home as acceptable.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Business Continuity Planning and Business Continuity to design, implement, and update continuity frameworks and procedures.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Business Resilience and Enterprise Risk Management to support organizational preparedness and integration with broader risk strategies.
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to perform risk assessments, business impact analyses, and data driven reporting for continuity initiatives.
  • Relevant experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries, preferably with exposure to Islamic banking or Sharia compliant financial environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross functional teams and deliver clear guidance and training.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage multiple priorities, and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, finance, information systems, or a related field; professional certifications in business continuity or risk management (e.g., CBCP, ISO 22301) are an advantage.
