Role Purpose
Lead the development and maintenance of business architecture artefacts connecting strategy, capabilities, value streams, services, processes, and organisational responsibilities.
Support evidence-based investment, transformation prioritisation, and enterprise-wide alignment with the Enterprise Architecture framework.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop capability maps, value streams, business service catalogues, and business architecture viewpoints.
- Translate strategic objectives, stakeholder needs, and operating-model changes into requirements and roadmaps.
- Establish traceability across strategy, capabilities, services, processes, applications, and initiatives in the EA repository.
- Validate current-state and target-state models, gaps, dependencies, and priorities with business owners and Business Analysts.
- Support transformation, portfolio decisions, and impact assessments through architecture insights and recommendations.
- Apply EA governance, modelling standards, and quality controls and contribute to Architecture Review Board materials.
- Facilitate workshops and communicate findings to business and technology stakeholders.
- Contribute to EA frameworks, reference models, principles, KPIs, and continuous improvement.
Experience and Education
- At least five years of relevant experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, business transformation, operating-model design, or a related role.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Knowledge and Skills
- Practical knowledge of TOGAF and business architecture concepts, including capability-based planning and value-stream modelling.
- Ability to model capabilities, services, processes, information needs, stakeholders, and organisational relationships.
- Working knowledge of ArchiMate and BPMN.
- Strong facilitation, analytical writing, stakeholder-management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to turn complex business information into concise, decision-ready architecture views.
- Proven experience producing Business Architecture Diagrams using OrbusInfinity, Bizzdesign, SAP, or comparable EA tools.
Certifications and Preferred Background
- TOGAF certification is required or strongly preferred according to the source wording.
- CBA, ArchiMate, BPMN, CBAP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent credentials are advantageous.
- Experience in government, tax, financial services, or large complex organisations is preferred.
- Experience using EA or process-modelling tools is preferred.
