For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to August 29, 2015, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 29, 2015, are considered Schedule B. The Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth. The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a qualified individual with strong leadership and customer service skills to join its Automated Trial Court Services Unit (ATCSU). This unit is primarily responsible for business analysis and user requirements gathering; workflow analysis; development of project plans; user interface; system testing; and user training and support. This position will supervise a specialized team supporting judge-focused applications and related business processes that are critical to judicial operations. The unit works collaboratively with court case processing managers and staff, information technology managers and staff, and others to plan and implement large-scale Judiciary information technology projects. In this role, the selected candidate will help lead support and enhancement efforts for applications used in judicial operations, including systems related to judicial case management, assignments, protective orders, and judicial conduct processes. The unit also provides ongoing customer support for applications through the operation of a help desk and delivers presentations and on-site support when necessary to various customers located throughout the state. Experience with all stages of the SDLC, PEGA, and utilizing Agile methodology is preferred. REMOTE WORK : The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Collaborate with Trial Court Services, the Information Technology Office, and other stakeholders to implement and improve technology solutions. Evaluate staff performance, provide coaching and mentorship, and participate in personnel-related decisions. Prioritize projects, allocate resources, and resolve complex operational or technical issues while supporting organizational goals. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience, two years of which shall have included experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting information technology systems and services in the mainframe, server, and network environments. May include analyzing and resolving complex technical problems; generating and testing applications code; performing database administration; administering data security; operating enterprise computer systems; contingency planning, implementing telecommunications facilities; and developing and/or conducting training on IT systems, concepts, applications, policies, or security. Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above –OR– a law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of general experience as indicated above. - Driver's License: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required.
