About the Role
Cooper Equipment Rentals is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Strategic Insights team, uncovering opportunities to drive profitable revenue growth. You will transform complex data into actionable insights, support pricing and customer profitability analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Partner with cross functional teams across Sales, Finance, and Operations to understand business needs and support data driven strategies
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within data, translating findings into clear, persuasive stories
- Support analysis and optimization of rate structures and revenue programs
- Conduct customer profitability and segmentation analysis to inform sales and marketing strategies
- Perform competitive pricing and market analysis
- Maintain and manage agreement versions, updates, approvals, and related documentation
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional requirements for reporting and analytics
- Champion the use of internal applications and tools (e.g., Power BI, AI powered tools) to enhance data accessibility
- Build relationships with new vendors for in house warranty repairs
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, business intelligence, pricing, finance, or similar analytical role
- Post secondary education in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights through storytelling
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align insights with business goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships across departments
- Business acumen, ideally with exposure to construction or equipment rental industry
- Experience with rate management, customer segmentation, or revenue optimization is an asset
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CRM and AI powered tools is preferred

Role Overview
- As a Business Analyst on the Strategic Insights team, you will play a key role in uncovering opportunities to drive profitable revenue growth and support strategic decision making across the organization.
- You will work closely with the Head of Strategic Insights to transform complex data into actionable insights, develop compelling narratives, and collaborate with cross functional teams.
- This role acts as a bridge between business needs and analytical execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with cross functional teams across Sales, Finance, and Operations to understand business needs and support data driven strategies.

- Support the analysis and optimization of rate structures and revenue programs.
