Build your experience at one of Australia’s leading universities, working alongside a team of subject matter experts, collaborating with IT and stakeholders across the University. Gain exposure to major projects shaping and enhancing UNSW researcher profiles platform and contribute to a major data integration and reporting project involving data models, databases, enterprise systems, and reporting dashboards.
The two Business Analyst roles will be part of the Research Analysis, Data and Reporting (RADAR) unit, supporting projects by gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, assessing impacts across connected systems, and coordinating the delivery of changes across database integrations, ETL pipelines, Airflow workflows, reporting datasets, Power BI reports, and data models.
Working closely with IT teams and RADAR subject matter experts, you will engage and coordinate technical and business stakeholders, support project planning and implementation, and help minimise impacts on operational resources. The role contributes to requirements analysis, process and data mapping, solution design, testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment activities, and the transition of solutions into business-as-usual operations.

You have relevant qualifications and/or experience in higher education or a similar complex organisation, together with experience in business analysis, technical project coordination and enterprise systems. You are technically confident working with data models, data mapping, data flows, databases and integrated reporting solutions, and can assess the downstream impacts of system and process changes. Key skills include:

In addition to the Level 6 capabilities, at Level 7 you will also demonstrate:
Experience leading business analysis activities for complex, large-scale business process change, data integration or information system implementation projects involving multiple stakeholders and systems.
Highly developed analytical and advisory skills, with the ability to interpret complex business processes, assess interdependencies and recommend practical system or process improvements.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder consultations, manage competing priorities and dependencies, and provide advice that supports effective implementation and organisational outcomes.
