Business Analyst – OFR (Qlik Sense Support) Manager – Business Support

Job Location: DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) GSC, India (Mumbai)

The Business Analyst (BA) for the OFR team plays a key role in supporting the development team by gathering, analysing, and translating ocean freight business requirements into actionable insights and dashboards.

The BA ensures that data solutions align with operational needs, enabling data-driven decision-making across the OFR function.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the Ocean Freight industry.

• Collaborate with OFR stakeholders (Operations, Pricing, Customer service, finance) to gather reporting and analytics requirements
• Translate business requirements into clear specifications for BI developers
• Develop and maintain documentation such as BRDs, data requirement documents, and dashboard specifications
• Work closely with developers to ensure accurate data visualization and dashboard functionality
• Analyze large datasets related to ocean freight operations (shipments, bookings, volumes, costs, margins, KPIs)
• Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports and dashboards
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Dashboards, station monitor and enhancements
• Identify gaps in existing reports and recommend new KPIs or improvements
• Support data governance, ensuring data quality and standard definitions across OFR reports
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams
• Lead webinars, addressing audience questions and ensuring engaging delivery.
• Ability to consistently manage demanding internal and external senior stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to leverage analytics for process optimization and cost savings.
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices.

• Qlik Sense, Power BI dashboard requirements & design documents
• KPI definitions and data mapping documents
• Data validation and testing reports
• UAT sign-off documentation
• Process flow diagrams for reporting and data usage

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Candidates should have at least 5+ years of experience in Ocean Freight products (preferably with a logistics background) and exposure to market intelligence and data analytics. The ability to present data effectively in presentations for senior management is essential.
• Experience in Business Analysis within logistics / supply chain (preferably OFR)
• Strong understanding of Ocean Freight processes (bookings, BL, containers, shipping lines, transit, etc.)
• Hands-on experience working with Qlik Sense or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL (preferred)
• Ability to understand data models and data flows
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile or project-based environments
