Role overview
The role is a Product Owner supporting enterprise data engineering capabilities for multiple groups and divisions.
The position delivers data engineering pipelines, curated datasets, data-quality solutions, and analytical data products.
Product ownership
- Own and prioritize the Data Engineering product backlog.
- Define product objectives, roadmaps, milestones, acceptance criteria, and success measures.
- Translate business problems into user stories, technical requirements, data rules, and acceptance criteria.
Data analysis and validation
- Perform hands-on SQL analysis to investigate data-quality issues and validate engineering outputs.
- Define controls for completeness, consistency, reconciliation, duplicates, exceptions, and outliers.
- Support root-cause analysis and validate delivered datasets before release.
Engineering collaboration
- Work with Data Engineers on pipelines, curated datasets, data-quality solutions, and analytical data products.
- Participate in discussions involving Databricks, PySpark, SQL, transformations, data models, mappings, and dependencies.
