Reporting to the Manager, HR Business Support Services, the Advisor (PeopleSoft Business Analyst) is a key position that serves as a liaison between the Human Resource Department, HR Shared Services and AHS IT. As a Functional Analyst within the HR Business Support Services team, leveraging technology, you will be providing effective expertise to facilitate the delivery and support of various PeopleSoft modules, troubleshoot issues, analyze current system and business processes, and develop recommendations for implementing enhancements, fixes or new processes.
Define and analyze the application technical/functional requirements with specific hands-on experience as a PeopleSoft Business Analyst. Develop necessary queries/reports in PeopleSoft to meet requirements as gathered and outlined. Provides project oversight from design through implementation on multiple system enhancements and configuration requests. Troubleshooting possible system issues: Provide functional support and configuration expertise to the payroll team with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to processing. Knowledge of full cycle Payroll in PeopleSoft version 9.0 or higher. Identifies, tracks, monitors and communicates on project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that occur during the course of the project. Prepares, develops, and implements detailed functional system design specifications, test plans, and user documentation for functional and technical completeness and accuracy. Provides input into proposals and system solution for several different PeopleSoft modules.

Strong Business and Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft. Minimum of 8 years demonstrated experience within the last 10 years as a Business Analyst in a PeopleSoft HRMS environment. A University Degree in Business, Human Resources, BA Certification, or the equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrated by progressively more responsible roles or positions is required. PeopleSoft 9.2 experience is a requirement. Experience working with a large, complete, and unionized HR/Payroll processing organization.
Demonstrated successful experience is required in: Conducting business requirements analysis activities. Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving, decision making and critical thinking. Developing impact analysis. Developing functional, application and process strategies, solutions and plans. Developing test strategies, planning and executing test phases. Assessing implementation readiness (organizational, application, support). Proficiency in MS project, Excel, Publisher, Work and Visio. Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Leadership skills and the ability to work together in a team environment, as well as independently.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience working in the PeopleSoft Time and Labor 9.0 and above. Complete understanding of the interaction between other PeopleSoft modules. Experience using Peoplesoft Query Manager. Ability to create, update, review, and present functional design documents for system enhancements/ process changes. Experience working with users in unionized environment.
