Role Overview
The Scotia Wealth Modernization Team is transforming the end-to-end wealth management experience across Canadian Wealth businesses.
The Business Analyst will support modernization through Agile delivery, business process analysis, journey mapping, and requirements definition.
What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end business analysis for modernization initiatives from problem framing through solution validation.
- Produce business requirements, process maps, current- and future-state workflows, journey maps, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate discussions with business partners to understand needs, identify gaps, and recommend solutions aligned with business outcomes.
- Write clear, concise, testable user stories and support backlog grooming and story refinement with engineering and QA teams.
- Ensure requirements are understood and traceable through development and testing.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize work based on value, risk, and dependencies.
- Continuously validate delivery outcomes against user and business expectations.
- Analyze wealth management processes and customer journeys to identify modernization opportunities.
- Define future-state processes that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and enhance advisor and client experiences.
- Communicate complex concepts to executives, advisors, operations teams, and technical specialists.
