Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand current and target financial processes
- Identify pain points, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop practical recommendations aimed at operational effectiveness, efficiency, and standardization
- Strengthen the quality of internal controls and financial information
- Participate in the implementation of approved improvements and assess their results
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and functional needs from Finance teams
- Assess the accounting and financial impacts of requests and initiatives
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues related to financial processes and systems
- Support end users in adopting and using processes and tools
- Contribute to the development of training materials and related communications
- Act as the Finance representative in cross functional initiatives impacting financial processes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Finance practices and technology solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in financial processes and/or in continuous improvement projects for financial processes
- Excellent understanding of financial and accounting processes, as well as internal controls
- Demonstrated ability to identify and generate productivity gains
- Interest in and ease with financial technology solutions
- Bilingualism in French and English is required to communicate with stakeholders across the country

Job Description
- The Finance function is currently in a phase of stabilizing solutions, implementing targeted improvements, and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- We are looking for a Business Analyst whose focus will be on core financial processes, with a clear objective of driving effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity gains.
- This is a key position within the Finance function, with a focus on process integrity, operational excellence, and the effective use of existing financial systems and tools.
- The Business Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in financial processes to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements that optimize processes, enhance the quality of financial information, and support the effective use of existing technology solutions.
Main Responsibilities Financial process analysis and optimization
- Analyze and understand current and target financial processes
- Identify pain points, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop practical recommendations aimed at operational effectiveness, efficiency, and standardization
- Strengthen the quality of internal controls and financial information

Support for Finance initiatives and business needs
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and functional needs from Finance teams

Support and continuous improvement

Qualifications Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in financial processes and/or in continuous improvement projects for financial processes
- Excellent understanding of financial and accounting processes, as well as internal controls
- Demonstrated ability to identify and generate productivity gains
- Interest in and ease with financial technology solutions
- Experience with Workday ERP systems and Epicor Prophet 21 (an asset)
- Knowledge of distribution environments (an asset)
- CPA designation (an asset)
