Role Overview
RapidData seeks an experienced Business Analyst with 3+ years of IT industry experience.
The role bridges business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Business and Requirements Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document stakeholder requirements through workshops, interviews, and discussions.
- Translate requirements into clear, functional, complete, consistent, and testable specifications.
- Analyze processes and systems, identify gaps and risks, and recommend technology-driven improvements.
Agile and Jira
- Work with product owners, scrum masters, developers, QA engineers, architects, and business stakeholders in Agile teams.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Create and maintain Jira epics, user stories, tasks, bugs, subtasks, reports, dashboards, and traceability.
Documentation and Technical Knowledge
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flow diagrams, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Understand SDLC, STLC, OOP, programming languages, APIs, JSON, XML, HTTP/HTTPS, and web technologies.
- Understand relational databases and write basic SQL queries for validation and analysis.
- Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP are advantageous.
- Microservices, authentication, application integrations, and system interfaces are preferred areas of familiarity.
Data and Quality Assurance
- Analyze business and system data, define validation rules, support data mapping, and investigate discrepancies.
- Collaborate with QA teams on test scenarios, test cases, UAT, defect triage, and functional validation.
Stakeholder Management
- Communicate technical concepts clearly, conduct demonstrations and walkthroughs, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Resolve requirement conflicts, obtain approvals, and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Process and Delivery Support
- Prepare As-Is and To-Be process flows and identify automation, productivity, and customer experience improvements.
- Support project planning, risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, release planning, production readiness, and post-release validation.
