Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data privacy procedures, guidelines, and training materials
- Work with Business and Functions teams to ensure data privacy measures are integrated across all functions
- Perform Privacy Impact Assessments to ensure data processing activities meet privacy standards
- Contribute to the maintenance of the inventory of data processing activities
- Conduct regular privacy awareness training for employees
- Evaluate potential risks related to data processing activities and third party vendor data handling
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- 5 7+ years of professional experience in data governance or data privacy and as a business analyst
- Experience preparing senior management presentations and working with large data sets
- Elevated level of ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to conduct/support working discussion in English and French

Job Overview

- The department is made up of 5 pillars: Data Privacy and Protection, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Solutions.
Responsibilities
- The Business Analyst will report to the Canada Chief Data Officer and support data privacy and protection activities.
- Drive and contribute to the team implementation of the data office framework ensuring its execution and maintenance.
- Work in close collaboration with business partners, technology, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
- 5 7 plus years of professional experience ideally in data governance or data privacy and as a business analyst.
- Preferred experience in data management, governance, privacy, controls, or process improvement.
- Experience preparing senior management presentations and large data sets.
- Elevated level of ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
