About the Role
FDM Group seeks a Business Analyst for a 12-month project in the Fintech sector, supporting the Corporate Actions and Income Processing team. The role requires 4+ years of corporate actions experience, strong business analysis skills, and familiarity with CAIP or similar systems.

Responsibilities
- Lead working sessions with stakeholders, SMEs, development teams, and external parties to define functional and non functional requirements
- Process and manage voluntary and mandatory events (e.g., dividends, stock splits, mergers, rights issues), ensuring timely, accurate execution
- Analyse and interpret corporate action and income event announcements, calculate entitlements, update positions, and manage income flows
- Liaise with custodians, brokers, and internal teams (tax, accounting, portfolio managers) to confirm event details and validation
- Provide detailed reporting and notifications to portfolio managers and clients on upcoming corporate actions
- Investigate and resolve client issues within agreed SLAs
- Apply business rule governed workflows, rigorous validation, and exception based processing standards
- Maintain audit ready documentation of processes and system changes, aligned with regulatory standards
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in corporate actions and/or income event processing in capital markets or asset servicing firms
- Proven business analyst experience in financial services
- Hands on experience capturing and documenting business requirements (US/UK tax, entitlements, withholding claims)
- Technical familiarity with CAIP or similar systems; understanding of ISO 20022, SWIFT messaging
- Strong collaboration skills: liaising with custodians, brokers, accounting, and client teams
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities

- FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions.
- This role supports a project in the Fintech sector, anticipated to last initially 12 months but may be extended.
- This role is hybrid with 3 days in office.

About You
- 4+ years experience in corporate actions and/or income event processing in capital markets or asset servicing firms.
- Proven business analyst experience in financial services; strong domain expertise in announcements, entitlements, elections, and payments.
- Hands on experience capturing and documentation of business requirements (US/UK tax, entitlements, withholding claims).
- Technical familiarity with CAIP or similar systems; understanding of ISO 20022, SWIFT messaging.
