Position Overview
Westland Insurance Group is seeking a Business Analyst, IT Business Solutions for its team in Surrey, British Columbia.
The role bridges business needs and technology solutions by gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements.
The position is fully remote and open to applicants residing anywhere in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business processes, workflows, and system specifications.
- Investigate software issues and translate stakeholder feedback into future product features.
- Maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories, bugs, and technical tasks.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work with development, customer support, finance, and marketing teams on product vision and strategy.
- Review application features against acceptance criteria and customer value.
- Recommend automation and technology improvements that enhance operations and customer service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least three years of business analysis experience and at least one year of data mapping experience.
