Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Provide timely and safe transportation for residents to and from various locations such as: shopping, medical appointments, banks, and social events
- Complete bus safety checks daily, prior to driving bus. Ensure the vehicle is in safe working manner and document any areas of concern or damage. Vehicle emergency kit should be stocked and refilled during this time, if necessary.
- Ensure cell phone is charged and Bluetooth is inside the vehicle.
- Maintain an accurate log of safety documentation of safety checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by approaching with warmth, compassion, and respect to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and the public.
- Maintain interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness.
- Inform the executive director in writing of any mechanical problems.
- Communicate with Life Enrichment Director about success of outings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Additional Functions
- Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow team members, residents, families, and the public in general. Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.
- Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Must be detail and team-work oriented.
- Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements.
Qualifications
- Must be Drug free and submit to Urinary Analysis Drug screening upon hire and routinely.
- Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.
- Must be eighteen (18) years old.
- Have working knowledge of vehicles and the operation of large vehicles/buses.
