Role Overview
The Building Manager oversees building condition, tenant services, contractors, staff, budgets, safety, reporting, and operational performance.
The description also includes building engineering responsibilities involving technicians, maintenance, suppliers, and building systems.
Building Manager Responsibilities
- Maintain the building in good condition and support safety for building users.
- Facilitate services for tenants and visitors.
- Coordinate with the client and the client's employees or representatives.
- Present and implement client policies to maximize building performance.
- Source, present, and control contractors according to client requirements.
- Monitor building staff performance and provide guidance and training.
- Supervise subordinate staff and enforce company discipline and procedures.
- Manage petty cash and coordinate building service providers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with relevant government agencies.
- Prepare and review monthly reports and building-related budgets for the client.
- Prepare emergency plans and ensure safety equipment inspections.
