Role Description
The Building Management System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qatar.
The role oversees, operates, and maintains building automation and control systems.
Core Responsibilities
Monitor and optimize HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems through the BMS.
Respond to system alarms and perform routine inspections to support energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, coordinating with maintenance teams and contractors.
Update system configurations and schedules as required.
Assist in planning upgrades and document system performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety and engineering standards.
Collaborate with property management and facilities stakeholders to support reliable building operations and service quality.

Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems or Building Automation Systems, including monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of HVAC, lighting, and electrical controls.
Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical facilities systems, including air-conditioning, power distribution, and building services maintenance.
Proficiency in system diagnostics, fault finding, preventive maintenance planning, documentation, and reporting.
Familiarity with energy efficiency principles, safety regulations, and relevant engineering standards for building operations.
Effective communication and teamwork skills when coordinating with technicians, contractors, and property management staff.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
Previous experience in building management, facilities engineering, or property maintenance in commercial or residential buildings is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site, adapt to a multicultural environment, and manage tasks independently under time and operational constraints.
