About the Role
RMS Insurance Brokers is seeking a Broker Claims Executive to join its insurance brokerage team in Doha.
The role advocates for clients throughout the claims cycle and negotiates settlements with insurance underwriters.
Location and Employment
- The position is based in Doha, Qatar and is explicitly on-site.
- The employment type is full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide policyholders through claims notification and ensure documentation and loss details are correctly compiled and submitted.
- Liaise with insurance companies, surveyors, and loss adjusters to expedite settlements and resolve disputes.
- Review insurance policies and endorsements to interpret coverage terms and advocate for client rights.
- Track active claims, maintain an accurate database, and provide regular updates to corporate and retail clients.
- Advise clients on risk management, policy terms, and claims-prevention practices.
- Negotiate optimal settlements with insurance underwriters on behalf of clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A recognized Chartered Insurance Institute qualification is mandatory, such as a CII Claims qualification or Certificate/Diploma in Insurance.
- Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of hands-on claims handling experience.
- Experience in an insurance brokerage or corporate commercial insurance environment is required.
- Strong knowledge of policy wordings, insurance law principles, and local Qatari insurance market practices is required.
- Advanced MS Office skills and familiarity with brokerage management systems or CRM tools are required.
- Exceptional negotiation, conflict-resolution, and client-facing communication skills are required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is strictly required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Candidates must currently reside in Qatar with a transferable visa and valid QID.
