Boiler Engineer - Maintenance

This position participates in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of hospital in good repair.

This position will complete preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders with little to no supervision.

This position performs basic to intermediate troubleshooting on HVAC equipment, and repairs equipment as needed.

This position performs basic electrical troubleshooting and repair.

This position performs basic to intermediate plumbing installation and repair, including steam trap repair and replacement.

This position will be trained on Fire Alarm system and Fire Sprinkler system basic troubleshooting.

This position will be trained and obtain basic knowledge of generator and transfer switch systems.

This position maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.

This position works as part of a team to maintain efficient and effective department operation and does so within compliance of all DNV-GL, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards, codes, and protocols.

This position serves as a member of the Fire Response Team and responds to codes.

This position supports the mission of St.

Peter’s Health through the performance of preventative maintenance, general and scheduled maintenance and repair and installation of buildings and equipment.

This position will be placed in on-call rotation for off-hours maintenance related issues.

Training will be provided on high-pressure boiler system operation/repair.

Upon successful training, this position will be able to test for and earn State of Montana 2nd Class Boiler Operator’s License.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Knowledge and minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a public facility preferred.

Knowledge of MIG welding preferred.

High school diploma, HiSET or GED equivalent preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: None required.

Training provided to obtain State of Montana 2nd Class Boiler Operator’s License
