Role Overview

The BOH Team Leader supervises kitchen duties by managing the pantry, inventory, food storage, food preparation, and customer service.

The role guides the restaurant kitchen team in delivering quality and timely food while supporting customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure food is stored, prepared, and served according to recipe, preparation, and portion standards.
  • Evaluate kitchen personnel and make employment or termination decisions as appropriate.
  • Order kitchen materials and ingredients based on the menu and market demand.
  • Supervise food preparation and help ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain clean working environments and ensure preventive maintenance measures are followed.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and conduct weekly inventories.
  • Work with Restaurant Managers on menu items, pricing, and portion sizes.
  • Schedule shifts according to business hours, days, and occasions.
  • Oversee training on safe kitchen equipment operation and handling heavy or hazardous materials.

  • Ability to supervise kitchen duties and kitchen personnel.
  • Ability to ensure food is stored, prepared, and served according to recipe, preparation, and portion standards.
