Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and governance for the company, ensuring long term growth and responsible decision making
- Participate in regular board meetings, review performance reports, and shape company vision and expansion strategy
- Advise on market positioning in the Gulf and broader regions
- Guide investment priorities and support executive leadership with high level decisions
- Develop policies, evaluate major contracts and capital expenditures, and monitor compliance
- Mentor senior leaders and represent the company to key stakeholders

- Strategic leadership skills, including experience in setting long term vision and corporate strategy
- Governance and oversight skills with understanding of board responsibilities and risk management
- Financial acumen, including ability to interpret financial statements and evaluate investments
- Market and industry insight in entertainment, hospitality, technology, or premium consumer experiences in Gulf/MENA
- Stakeholder management skills and excellent communication, negotiation, and decision making abilities
- Previous board or senior executive experience strongly preferred

Role Description
- The Board Member will provide strategic oversight and governance for The BoxFlex Company, ensuring long term growth, strong corporate governance, and responsible decision making.
- In this full time on site role based in Dubai, the Board Member will participate in regular board meetings, review performance reports, and help shape the company’s vision, expansion strategy, and risk management framework.
- Day to day responsibilities include advising on market positioning in the Gulf and broader regions, guiding investment priorities, and supporting executive leadership with high level decisions on product innovation, partnerships, and operations.
- The Board Member will collaborate with other board members to develop policies, evaluate major contracts and capital expenditures, and monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- The role also involves mentoring senior leaders, representing the company to key stakeholders, and contributing to a culture of transparency, accountability, and innovation.
Qualifications
- Strategic leadership skills, including experience in setting long term vision, corporate strategy, and growth plans for innovative or design focused companies.
- Governance and oversight skills, with a strong understanding of board responsibilities, risk management, compliance, and ethical business practices.
- Financial acumen, including the ability to interpret financial statements, evaluate investments, and contribute to budgeting and capital allocation decisions.
- Market and industry insight, ideally in entertainment, hospitality, technology, or premium consumer experiences within the Gulf or broader MENA region.
- Stakeholder management skills, including experience collaborating with investors, partners, clients, and senior leadership teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision making abilities, with a capacity to challenge and support the executive team constructively.
- Previous board or senior executive experience is strongly preferred; experience with scaling early stage or high growth companies is an advantage.
- Relevant academic background (e.g., business, finance, engineering, design, or related fields) or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to be physically present in Dubai for board duties and key company events, and to commit to a full time governance and advisory role.
