The employer is hiring an experienced BMS and Controls Automation Engineer for a major building project in Qatar.
The role focuses on BMS, controls and automation, HVAC controls, testing, commissioning, and site supervision.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is required.
- UPDA/MMUP Grade A certification is mandatory.
- At least 15 years of experience is required in BMS, controls and automation, HVAC controls, testing, commissioning, and site supervision.
- Strong experience is required with FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, VAVs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, ventilation systems, lighting controls, and curtain control systems.
- Hands-on expertise is required with MCCs, DDC/PLC panels, VFDs, sensors, actuators, valves, and field devices.
- Strong knowledge is required of BACnet, Modbus, BMS integration, control sequences, alarms, interlocks, and system troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate BMS, controls and automation, and HVAC control system installations.
- Review shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, and control schematics.
- Lead testing, commissioning, and functional performance testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and MEP teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Assignment duration
- The assignment duration is 18 months.
Location
- The role is based in Qatar and includes site supervision and installation coordination.
