Asset & Inventory Management Maintenance & Repairs Project Coordination Compliance & Safety Training & Support

Procurement & Specification

Supporting the procurement of equipment process (quotations/tenders, comparison chart)
Writing specifications for all new equipment & machinery
Evaluating equipment & machinery based on initial and operating cost
Developing and maintaining an asset register of all equipment
Inventory system and medical equipment documentation
Maintaining records (e.g., equipment history)
Managing and overseeing replacement and repair programs
Attending service and maintenance defects and coordinating with vendors
Conducting preventive maintenance, handling spare parts, technical defects, and clinical demands
Arranging proper project milestones (delivery, installation, training, commissioning, testing)
Initiating policies as per local regulations
Setting standards & ensuring compliance
Active involvement in safety committee and checking safety hazards
Arranging training programs for clinical engineering personnel and end users
Advising & providing expertise to medical staff & administration

Support sustainability and Global Health Impact (GHI) goals by practicing environmentally responsible behavior, reducing waste, following proper disposal and segregation processes, using resources efficiently, participating in related training, and reporting opportunities for improvement.
Follow all safety, quality, infection-control awareness and risk-management procedures; report safety events and near misses; participate in workplace violence-prevention training; and escalate concerns using approved communication tools such as Situation–Background–Assessment–Recommendation (SBAR).
Participate in emergency drills (fire, major incidents, communicable diseases and pandemics) and understand assigned roles during emergencies.
Maintain all required competencies, credentials and training required for the role, and work strictly within the authorized scope of responsibilities.

Awareness and understanding of KCH policies and KCH initiatives.
Possesses a good grasp of medical terminology, enabling accurate communication, documentation, and coordination within a clinical or healthcare setting.
Supports and guides junior team members, offering advice and assistance if required.
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and discretion, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders.
Highly self-motivated with strong internal work standards; sets realistic goals for self and supports others in achieving team objectives.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, ensuring goals are met in dynamic environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage unexpected issues and identify when to escalate.
