- Assist the bookbinder by preparing materials such as paper, board, and covering materials, ensuring they are cut precisely to specifications
- Operate and maintain binding machinery, including folding, stitching, and casing in machines, under the guidance of experienced staff
- Perform quality control checks on finished or in progress binding jobs, identifying and reporting any defects or inconsistencies
- Manage inventory of binding supplies, accurately tracking stock levels and notifying supervisors of low quantities
- Process jobs manually by hand like paper and board pasting, assembly of custom board gift boxes, etc.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous
- Basic understanding of machinery operation and maintenance principles
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work with meticulous attention to detail
