Position Overview
A construction company in Dubai is seeking a BIM Engineer – MEP.
The role focuses on Building Information Modeling for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design, coordination, and shop drawing production.
The position supports multidisciplinary coordination and construction-ready MEP documentation.
Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and maintain BIM models for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Prepare and review MEP shop drawings directly from BIM models.
- Coordinate MEP systems with architecture, structural, facade, and other MEP disciplines.
- Perform Navisworks clash detection, analyze conflicts, and propose resolutions before construction.
- Apply BIM standards, templates, and protocols to MEP works.
- Conduct design reviews, provide constructability feedback, and support quantity extraction and technical documentation.
- Stay updated on BIM tools, MEP technologies, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least 5 years of BIM coordination experience with a strong MEP background is required.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and related BIM tools is required.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical systems is required.
- Experience creating coordinated MEP shop drawings from BIM models is required.
- Knowledge of MEP codes, standards, and construction methodologies is required.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 6,000 to AED 10,000 per month.
Workplace
- The position is based in Dubai and the work location is in person.
