BIM/CAD Technician (MEP)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Work with BIM and design leads to ensure project compliance and timely completion.
• Develop engineering drawings including layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details.
• Manage BIM activities from project start-up through project completion.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation, standards compliance, and QA/QC requirements.
• Create parametric and non-parametric BIM families.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on model development and coordination issues.
• Perform clash detection and produce clash reports using Autodesk Navisworks.
• Produce schedules and quantity extractions from BIM models.

Required Qualifications

• Hold a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Have at least 5 years of GCC experience in BIM/CAD drafting for MEP projects.
• Have experience with MEP projects including pump stations, gas networks, HVAC, metro stations, substations, or MCC rooms.
• Be proficient in Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation.
• Have experience with ProjectWise, ISO 19650, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Desired Skills

• Good knowledge of BIM processes and LOD requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
