Job Summary

As a Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely claims for reimbursement to various payors, including VA, LTC, Private pay, Medicaid, and Medicare
- Manage and track accounts receivable, ensuring prompt payment and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient billing and accounts receivable
- Collaborate with our team to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting, as needed
- Stay up-to-date with changes in billing regulations, laws, and industry standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including patients, payors, and staff members
Requirements
- At least 5 years of full-time experience as a billing specialist for a non-skilled home care agency
- Proven expertise in VA, LTC, Private pay, Medicaid, and Medicare billing and accounts receivable management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred
