The Bilingual Payroll Specialist, reporting to the Payroll Manager, is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for over 600 employees across multiple locations and shifts. This role supports the full-cycle payroll process, including maintaining employee payroll records, processing payroll transactions, monitoring payroll data accuracy, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and provincial payroll legislation, and assisting with year-end reporting and statutory filing requirements. The Payroll Specialist partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, managers, and employees to resolve payroll inquiries, support payroll-related projects and system enhancements, and deliver a high standard of customer service while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

More from this employer
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Payroll Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
2-5 years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
Experience processing Canadian payroll, with U.S. payroll processing experience considered an asset.
Experience with Workday or another enterprise HRIS/payroll system is considered an asset.
National Payroll Institute Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is preferred. Candidates actively working toward their PCP certification will also be considered.

Salary range - $65,000 - $80,000
