Responsibilities
- Deliver time sensitive documents, customs declarations, shipping manifests, and small parcels between port terminals, customs offices, shipping agencies, freight forwarders, and bonded warehouses
- Coordinate with customs officials and brokers to ensure timely clearance
- Support cargo operations by transporting necessary paperwork
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and local knowledge
Requirements
- Valid motorcycle or bicycle riding license
- 2+ years experience as a bike messenger, courier, or in logistics/delivery roles
- Familiarity with customs documentation and basic understanding of customs clearance procedures
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of port layouts, customs office locations, and local traffic patterns
- Physical fitness to cycle for extended periods and carry loads up to 20 30 kg
- Proficiency with smartphones, GPS apps, and digital tracking systems
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple urgent deliveries under tight deadlines
- Clean background check for port security clearance
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customs officials, brokers, and dispatchers
- Basic problem solving skills

Position Overview
- The Bike Messenger supports port and customs logistics by delivering time sensitive documents, customs declarations, shipping manifests, and small parcels between port terminals, customs offices, shipping agencies, freight forwarders, and bonded warehouses.
- This role is critical for maintaining the flow of documentation required for cargo clearance and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Valid motorcycle or bicycle riding license (as required by local regulations)
- 2+ year experience as a bike messenger, courier, or in logistics/delivery roles — port or customs experience is a plus
- Familiarity with customs documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, import/export declarations) and basic understanding of customs clearance procedures
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of port layouts, customs office locations, and local traffic patterns
- Physical fitness — ability to cycle for extended periods in varying weather conditions and carry loads up to 20–30 kg
- Proficiency with smartphones, GPS apps, and digital tracking systems
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple urgent deliveries under tight deadlines
- Clean background check — required for port security clearance
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for interacting with customs officials, brokers, and dispatchers
- Basic problem solving skills — ability to handle unexpected route changes, document issues, or delays independently
Working Conditions
- Schedule: Full time or shift based; may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with port operating hours and vessel schedules
- Environment: Primarily outdoors within port terminals, customs zones, and surrounding industrial areas; exposure to all weather conditions, noise, and vehicle traffic
- Security: Must pass port security screening and carry authorized access credentials at all times
