- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics, reporting, and data intensive applications

- Troubleshoot performance issues

Requirements
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) and data pipeline orchestration
- Solid data management and storage skills, including relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing
- Programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Data integration and ETL skills with batch and real time processing
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Collaboration and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Relevant certifications in big data or cloud technologies are an advantage

Role Description
- The Big Data Engineer role is a full time, on site position based in Dubai.
- The Big Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics, reporting, and data intensive applications.
- Responsibilities include ingesting and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data, optimizing data storage and processing, and ensuring data quality and reliability.
- The role involves collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements, implement solutions, and troubleshoot performance issues.
- The Big Data Engineer will also contribute to best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement of the data platform.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong big data engineering skills, including experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) and data pipeline orchestration.
- Candidates should possess solid data management and storage skills, such as working with relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and handling structured and unstructured datasets.
- Candidates should possess programming and scripting skills relevant to data engineering, such as Python, Java, or Scala, along with familiarity in using SQL for data manipulation.
- Candidates should possess data integration and ETL skills, including experience with data ingestion tools, batch and real time processing, and API based data exchange.
- Candidates should possess cloud and infrastructure skills, ideally with experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services and tools.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to diagnose data issues, optimize performance, and implement robust solutions.
- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective work with cross functional teams and clear documentation of data workflows.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in big data or cloud technologies are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a Big Data Engineer or similar data engineering role, especially within large scale or enterprise environments, will be highly beneficial.
