Responsibilities
- Creates and ensures a fun-filled and exciting environment where the execution of “Fast and Flawless” service is paramount.
- Provides timely, accurate, and courteous beverage service to all guests while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follows all cash handling procedures as described in department-specific cash handling procedures and internal controls.
- Ensures all drink requests are properly rung on MICROS systems.
- Adheres to all service standards.
- Abides by all laws pertaining to the service and sale of alcoholic beverages as provided in the property alcohol management program.
- Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s, and encourages others to do the same.
- Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures.
- Performs all related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior restaurant experience is required.
- 2 years of service experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of all drinks, recipes, and garnishes.
- Ability to be flexible with schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Follows uniform guidelines.
- Clean and neat appearance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- JOB DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- The position requires 10% standing and 90% walking.
- Requires some pushing and twisting.
- Requires frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping, and reaching above and below shoulders.
- Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural, and visual cues.
- Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 10 (ten) hours in length.
- Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs and concerns
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and mobility to move easily around the entire property.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- $9.00 per hour plus tips.
- Employment Type – Full-Time
