Job Summary
Operate bending and press brake equipment as part of an in-house production and fabrication team in Dubai.
The work supports retail fit-outs, exhibitions, events, signage, architectural metalwork, display units, bespoke fabrication, and custom production projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC, NC press brake, and bending machines.
- Bend stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, and other sheet metals accurately.
- Read technical and fabrication drawings and interpret dimensions.
- Select punches, dies, and tooling according to material and bending requirements.
- Set parameters based on material type, thickness, bend radius, and angle.
- Perform measurements and angle checks during production.
- Produce components according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Minimize material wastage and prevent scratches, dents, and deformation.
- Inspect completed parts against drawings and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with welders, fabricators, and production supervisors.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Report machine faults, tooling issues, and quality concerns immediately.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least two years of hands-on experience as a Bending Machine or Press Brake Operator.
- Experience operating CNC or NC press brake machines.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and bending techniques.
- Experience working with SS 304, SS 316, mild steel, and aluminium.
- Ability to independently read fabrication and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of bend allowance, bend deduction, angles, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Ability to use Vernier calipers, measuring tapes, angle gauges, and squares.
- Strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Durma, LVD, Trumpf, or equivalent machines is preferred.
- UAE or GCC fabrication experience is an advantage.
- Experience producing architectural metalwork, retail fixtures, exhibition structures, signage components, counters, display units, or bespoke metal fabrication is preferred.
Work Arrangement
- The role is full-time and performed in person in Dubai, UAE.
