Behavioral Therapist

Overview

Location: Abu Dhabi, Al Muntazah

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one behavioral support throughout daily routines
• Implement ABA-informed strategies and programs designed by supervising specialists (if applicable)
• Support development of:
• Communication and language skills
• Social interaction and play
• Daily living skills (dressing, feeding, toileting)
• Emotional regulation and behavior control
• Manage and reduce challenging behaviors using consistent, evidence-based approaches
• Integrate therapy into everyday activities (playtime, meals, school prep, outings)
• Maintain basic data tracking and progress notes
• Work closely with parents and external therapists (ABA supervisor, speech therapist, OT)
• Accompany the child to school or therapy sessions, when needed
• Ensure a structured, predictable routine for the child

Terms

• Work within agreed hours, with scheduled breaks and weekly day(s) off
• Maintain a professional yet warm presence in the home
• Focus on child-related responsibilities only
• Flexibility to travel with the family if required

Required Qualifications

• Background in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field (degree or diploma preferred)
• Practical experience working with children with autism minimum 1–2 years (preferably UAE experience)
• Basic training or hands-on experience in ABA techniques
• Good understanding of behavior management strategies

• To provide consistent behavioral support using ABA-informed approaches, helping the child build essential skills, improve behavior, and increase independence within a stable and supportive home setting.
