Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine child’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and functional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on child’s goals, abilities, and specific conditions
- Use evidence based techniques and therapeutic interventions to help children improve or regain skills
- Incorporate adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications as appropriate
- Conduct therapy sessions to improve physical strength, coordination, and range of motion
- Teach children strategies to improve cognitive, perceptual, and problem solving abilities
- Provide guidance and training in activities of daily living
- Support children in developing social and interpersonal skills
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution
- Attested certification with certificate Equivalency as an occupational therapist (MOE Equivalency)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to assess, problem solve, and develop creative solutions
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform therapy tasks
- Proficiency in using relevant assessment tools, computer software, and assistive technology
