As an Inclusion Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students with special needs, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to fully participate in our before and after-school programs.

You will provide direct, one-on-one or small-group support, adapting activities and engagement strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.

What a typical day for an Inclusion Aide is like:

• Encourage and facilitate student participation in program activities, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment.
• Build strong, positive relationships with students, fostering a sense of belonging.
• Implement strategies to support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Assist students with academic work, including homework help and enrichment activities.
• Follow attendance procedures, ensuring accurate sign-in and sign-out records.
• Collaborate with site staff and leadership to adapt activities to meet students’ needs.
• Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to empowering youth.
• Maintain professionalism, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

To qualify for this position, you will need:

• Background in special education, child development, or youth programs highly preferred.
• Experience working with children or youth in grades K-12, especially those with special needs.
