Nature and Scope

Responsibilities

• - Provide care for school age children at a school location, both before school and after school, as well as lunch supervision - Give active and loyal support to the program in accordance with YMCA core values (respect, responsibility, honesty, caring, equality and inclusiveness) - Plan and coordinate activities for each day - Maintain a positive attitude at all times - Act in a supportive and professional manner when working with children - Report to the Program Director regarding any problems or concerns - Build positive relationships with children, parents, teachers, and principals - Maintain accurate attendance records -Adhere to YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures

Qualifications

• - First Aid and CPR - Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check - Aptitude for working with children - Minimum one year related experience - Preference given to those with background courses in education or early childhood education - Strong leadership skills - Ability to work independently
