JOB SUMMARY
The Batch Plant Manager will supervise and support day to day concrete plant preparation, production, maintenance, and repair and quality control activities at the batch plant. The ideal candidate must be eager to achieve and maintain a level of excellence in customer service as well as have a high standard of expectations for themselves and those with whom they manage.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- · Manage daily batch operations and personnel to maintain safe, efficient and timely workflow.
- · Communicate with Dispatch for regarding timing of shipments
- · Daily maintenance of the batch plant operations
- · Responsible for training and development of associates to ensure quality concrete is produced and delivered accordingly to meet Company’s daily schedules.
- · Participate in daily/weekly meetings with Operations team as requested.
- · Develop ongoing goals and use preventative maintenance tools to maintain plant and equipment is in good working order.
- · Recommend and confer with Operations Manager on items needing to be addressed to facilitate the success of the department.
- · Involvement in implementation/development and making adjustments to mix designs and materials to meet job specs (as required).
- · Manage plant operations for safety and profitability
- · Responsible for managing ready mix truck drivers time and compliance
