BAS Operations Manager

Required Qualifications*

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with minimum ten (10) years of progressive BAS/DDC work experience OR Associate's degree in a related technical field (or technical certification) with minimum five (5) years of progressive BAS/DDC work experience OR Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with minimum three (3) years of progressive BAS/DDC work experience. Building Automation System Expertise: Significant experience in building automation and Direct Digital Controls (DDC), with specific expertise in programming, monitoring, controlling, and troubleshooting Siemens Desigo CC, Siemens Xcelerator hardware, and legacy Siemens APOGEE systems. Ability to interpret automation system alarms, operational data, and take appropriate, proactive actions. Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications. Technical Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose, prioritize, and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical and OT/IT networks. Ability to interpret, write and/or modify PPCL and block programming. Understanding of sequences and modes of operation in building automation systems. Supervisory Expertise: Demonstrated ability to coordinate work across teams, and lead or train other employees, or serve as a technical lead on complex service activities. Proven ability to document and follow management practices and processes critical for cybersecurity, efficiency and transparency in delivering high-quality operational support. Experience coordinating and communicating work efforts, assignments, and status updates efficiently by using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Experience in maintaining oversight of parts, tools, and vehicles to ensure operational readiness. Ability to efficiently dispatch resources and respond to urgent issues in high-pressure situations.

Desired Qualifications*

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with minimum five (5) years of progressive BAS/DDC work experience. Supervisory title level work experience. Fluent in Siemens APOGEE PPCL programming for advanced mechanical system control strategies. Experience implementing Fault Detection and Diagnostics software. Knowledge of OT network architecture and Cybersecurity best practices. Experience maintaining vendor agreements and managing relationships for services, software, and third-party packaged controls. Familiarity and desire to implement energy conservation initiatives as they relate to automation and control systems. Desire to shape and measure performance based on data from CMMS, OMI software and other sources of non-subjective sources of information.

• The shift for this position will be Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. However, due to this being a supervisory position, afterhours response will be required as necessary.
