Position Summary

The Bartender at ION Cocktail Bar creates memorable guest experiences through beverage service and broader ownership of the bar space.

The role includes identifying beverage trends, understanding local offerings, and responding to evolving guest needs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Mix and serve drinks while delivering memorable guest service.
  • Host the bar space and take ownership of service beyond the bar itself.
  • Keep the bar looking and functioning flawlessly.
  • Build relationships across the hotel and in the community to anticipate guest needs.
  • Handle money carefully and provide accurate information to guests.
  • Deliver drinks that meet quality standards.
  • Follow company policies, protect company assets, maintain confidentiality, and support a safe workplace.
  • Maintain professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Perform physical duties involving extended standing or walking and handling objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking.
  • The role requires lifting and handling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • The role requires reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Schedule

  • The position is full time.

Workplace

  • The position is located at JW Marriott on Sheikh Zayed Road in Business Bay, Dubai.
  • The position is not remote and involves hands-on work in the bar environment.
