Barista / Senior Barista

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and other café tools.
• Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, portioning, and taste.
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to customers.
• Take customer orders accurately and process transactions efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming preparation and service area.
• Monitor coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other inventory supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
• Support, guide, and train junior baristas while helping maintain service standards.
• Contribute ideas for new beverages, improved workflows, and enhanced customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista, Senior Barista, Café Specialist, or similar hospitality role is preferred.
• Three or more years of professional experience in coffee, café, hospitality, or food and beverage operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee brewing methods, and beverage presentation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, reliability, and professional conduct.
• Experience with specialty coffee, latte art, manual brewing, or coffee equipment is advantageous.
• Senior candidates should demonstrate leadership, coaching, and shift coordination abilities.
