Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages (espresso, cappuccino, lattes, etc.) following established recipes and brewing techniques.
- Operate and maintain coffee making equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing stations.
- Greet customers, take orders, and answer any questions regarding the menu, ingredients, and brewing methods.
- Ensure a clean and organized workstation, including proper cleaning of equipment and utensils.
- Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients, and inform management of any supply needs.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure cleanliness and proper food handling.
- Process customer payments and manage the POS system efficiently.
- Stay informed about new coffee trends, brewing methods, and products to enhance customer experience and knowledge.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar role in the food and beverage industry
- Knowledge of various coffee brewing methods and equipment
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and payments
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- A passion for coffee and willingness to continually learn and improve barista skills
