The Barback at KYU supports bartenders by ensuring the bar is fully stocked, clean, and organized, allowing for a smooth and efficient beverage service.

The Barback is responsible for managing inventory, assisting with drink preparation, and maintaining a clean and orderly bar area.

Barbacks at KYU play a crucial role in the bar’s operations, working closely with bartenders and other staff to deliver exceptional service and uphold the restaurant’s high standards.

• Assisting bartenders with drink preparation and service during peak hours.
• Managing and maintaining bar inventory, including restocking supplies and organizing storage areas.
• Ensuring the bar area is clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Handling glassware, utensils, and other bar equipment, and ensuring they are clean and in good condition.
• Removing empty bottles, glasses, and trash from the bar area promptly.
• Assisting in setting up and breaking down the bar for service.
• Monitoring inventory levels and reporting needs to the Bar Manager.
• Collaborating with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Providing support in training new bar staff as needed.
• Maintaining a positive and proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or in a high-volume bar environment.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations and equipment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in fine dining or upscale bar settings preferred.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
