Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) Engineer

Job Summary

Requirements

• Diploma or B.E. in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in BBS and reinforcement works.
• Strong knowledge of RCC reinforcement drawings and detailing.
• Experience in steel quantity calculation and reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of site execution and construction practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel is preferred.
• Commercial, residential, high-rise, or infrastructure project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bar Bending Schedules according to structural and reinforcement drawings.
• Review drawings and prepare reinforcement quantities and bar cutting details.
• Coordinate with site execution teams and monitor reinforcement activities.
• Maintain site stock and monitor steel and material consumption.
• Prepare material requirements based on BBS and site requirements.
• Prepare and submit steel reconciliation statements.
• Check steel quantities, bar marks, cutting lengths, and wastage.
• Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, consultants, and project teams.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings, BBS, and site execution and coordinate corrections.
• Maintain records of BBS, stock, steel consumption, and reconciliation.

Compensation

• Salary is ₹50,000 to ₹70,000 per month and is described as negotiable.

Joining and Travel

• Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50% is preferred.
