Banquet Server

Position Summary

Essential Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware according to event specifications.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner.
• Follow proper service standards for plated dinners, buffets, receptions, and other banquet functions.
• Assist with wine and beverage service, including refilling glasses and clearing tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the event.
• Clear and reset tables as needed.
• Assist with event breakdown and storage of banquet equipment after functions.
• Communicate effectively with guests, supervisors, kitchen staff, and other team members.
• Respond to guest requests and provide courteous, professional service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry banquet equipment, food trays, and supplies.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving equipment. Ability to lift approximately 25–50 lbs. as needed.
