Role Overview

A five-star luxury hotel in Kuwait is seeking an experienced Banquet Operations Manager.

The role oversees banquet operations and the delivery of events, functions, conferences, weddings, and VIP gatherings.

The position requires confident communication with Arabic-speaking guests and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily banquet operations and event execution.
  • Lead, supervise, train, and motivate the banquet service team.
  • Coordinate event preparation with Events, Sales, Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, and Front Office.
  • Review event orders, function sheets, setup requirements, guest preferences, and special requests.
  • Maintain luxury standards for setups, service sequences, tables, equipment, and presentations.
  • Serve as the operational contact during events and resolve guest concerns.
  • Manage scheduling, duty allocations, grooming, attendance, and performance.
  • Ensure hygiene, health, safety, and hotel service compliance.
  • Control supplies, equipment, inventory, and breakage while supporting cost efficiency.
  • Support budgeting, reporting, training, and service improvement.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event reviews.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of banquet operations experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or assistant managerial role.
  • Five-star or luxury hotel experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet service standards, event setup, function planning, and large-scale events.
  • Fluent Arabic and English are required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, team management, and guest relations skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays according to event schedules.
  • Familiarity with hotel systems, event orders, inventory control, and operational reporting is advantageous.
