Role Overview
The Banquet & Events Manager will lead weddings, conferences, special events, and banquet operations at The William Inglis Hotel - MGallery Collection.
When events are not operating, the role supports wider Food and Beverage outlets and helps deliver consistent guest experiences.
The position provides visible, hands-on leadership and develops teams across a dynamic luxury hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of weddings, conferences, corporate events, and functions.
- Lead, coach, and inspire Food and Beverage teams across events and daily operations.
- Partner with Sales, Events, and Kitchen teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Lead service briefings, team communication, operational planning, and staff development.
- Support revenue, profitability, labour management, rostering, and operational efficiency.
- Build guest and client relationships and identify improvements to service, revenue, and satisfaction.
- Uphold HACCP, WHS, Accor, and MGallery standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing events, conferences, weddings, or functions.
